Recap
As well as most clubs, Sloboda suffered major changes in the team. They also managed to make a transfer of the season, selling their greatest talent Darko Todorović (21, right back) to Red Bull Salzburg for 350.000 euros.
Important departures are also those of Edin Rustemović (25, defensive midfield – Zrinjski Mostar) and Amer Bekić (25, centre forward – Zrinjski Mostar).
They brought a lot of players, but most famous name is certainly Said Husejinović (30, attacking midfield – from Sarajevo), former Werder Bremen player. There are a few more interesting names here like Mehmed Alispahić (30, attacking midfield – Šibenik) and Ivan Baraban (30, left midfield – Široki Brijeg).
A strange thing happened with the coach. Slavko Petrović, who led the team last season, has been fired and to his place came Admir Smajić. However, Smajić has gone because of health problems and his first assistant Milenko Bošnjaković took over the place of the coach.
Their first opponent in the new season will be the champion Zrinjski.
„We will do everything in our power, both players and professional staff, to take the game in a positive direction. If we do not achieve a favorable result, we will give our opponents a hand and we will wish them a lot of luck in the championship“, said Sloboda coach Milenko Bošnjaković.
Except injured goalkeeper Azir Muminović, all other players are prepared and available to Bošnjaković in this match.
Although he won two titles in a row, coach Blaž Slišković left Zrinjski. Instad of him came Ante Miše.
On the other side, champion kept the main players Slobodan Jakovljević (29, centre back), Miloš Filipović (28, right midfield) and Nemanja Bilbija (27, second striker).
Despite this, they were eliminated in the Champions League from Spartak Trnava.
„We are awaiting a new demanding match after Spartak, visiting a team with a name and tradition, which in recent years trying to find the ambition to be competitive with top teams. A team that has all our respect, but we are the champions and in Tuzla we come with the intent to win, said Zrinjski coach Ante Miše.
