Radnicki Nis vs Proleter Novi Sad

Radnicki Nis vs Proleter Novi Sad

Recap

Home team will start new season with new coach Nenad Lalatovic (former coach of Cukaricki) and with plenty of new players. Radnicki has finished last season at 3rd place and they are playing qualification for Europa League (in first match they have won 4:0). In new season they will have high ambition and I see them in first 5 clubs. Coach Lalatovic will continue to use same formation as previous coach Antic, so Radnicki will play in 4-1-4-1 which transform to 4-2-3-1. New players which are worth mentioning are defenders Pankov, Crnomarkovic and Todorovski (experienced right back, played abroad for years), attacking midfielder Haskic (came from Slovakian first league), winger Grbic (played for Partizan and abroad) and striker Nikodijevic (came from Indjija, second goalscorer of Serbian first league). In this transfer period they have lost their top goalscorer from last season, Pavkov (returned to Crvena Zvezda) and their first team goalkeeper Saranov (Moved to Greek league), and a few reserve players which didn’t have many minutes on the pitch. Their lineup will be: Zivkovic- Stankovic, Pankov, Crnomarkovic, Todorovski – Micic – Grbic, Haskic, Noma(C), Stanistavljevic – Nikodijevic. Due to the second match with Gzira (EL qualification) which they will play away, it is possible that the coach will rest some players. They don’t have any injured or unavailable players for this match. Coach Lalatovic said that he is very happy with his team so far and that they are going to attack Proleter as they want to start new season with win.

On the opposite side, new team in the Serbian Super league, Proleter Novi Sad will make a debut in Super league. They finished last season on first place and they were far best team in the league and they have played attacking football with plenty of goals. They have changed coach since last season, former coach Nenad Vanic has resigned and his place took Nenad Radojicic. I think that this is big lost for Proleter because Nenad Vanic was young, modern coach while coach Radojicic is old school coach, so I think that they should do more to keep Nenad Vanic. Proleter has changed their squad and new arrivals are winger Jovanovic (loan from Partizan), experienced striker Veselinovic (from Rad), defender Tanasin (from Radnik Surdulica), goalkeeper Elesin, and winger Stamenic (Borac Cacak). Only player which has left club so far is their reserve defender Djuric, while few other reserve players are ready to make a move from the club. Last season they have played in 4-4-2 formation under their former coach Vanic, but i think that new coach has change it to some variation of 4-1-4-1 as they are not so dominants as they were last season in First league, and they will be playing more defensive in new season. Coach Radnonjic will miss in this game their central midfielder Scepanovic which is on the therapy for injured knee and he will miss couple games of new season. Their goal for new season is to avoid relegation, and we must see couple of their matches against stronger Super league sides so we can see how good they will be placed in new season. Their coach Radojicic said that he is very happy with their tour in Slovenia where they have played against some good sides and the think that they are ready for Super league football.

The game will be played at stadium Cair, biggest stadium on south of Serbia, capacity 19000. The stadium has been renovated this summer due to the qualifications for EL and the pitch is in solid condition but the stands are still very old and they will have to do a lot more to make the stadium good again. Good visit is expected in this match as they are most popular team in their hometown Nis and their fans are quite loud and they can help their team to achieve victory in this match. This game will be first mutual game between these two teams. There is no indication about good or bad relationship between two boards.
