2. round, Saturday (July 28) (20:00)

In first game in new season, team Mladost has managed to avoid defeat against Vojvodina side, in a match where both team had their chances to win but in the end the final result was draw (1:1). From that match we learned that Mladost play in same manner as in last season. They are on tough team, their coach Nenad Milovanovic is in his position for 4 seasons in a row and he managed to do great things with very modest squad. Since last season, they are weaker only for their center back Milosevic who moved to French second league. Their new signing, striker Asceric is still not fit but maybe in this game he will get a chance to start as their other striker Odita is still missing (since last season) due to the broken leg. Coach Milovanovic will start in his favorite formation, 4-2-3-1. There are no star players in Mladost team, but they are one really hard working group of players and they are good from the free kicks as they have some tall players in their squad.

On the opposite side, Radnik had a start from theirs dreams, they managed to win against Partizan side (1:0) in a match where they didn’t allow much stronger Partizan side to score. Their new coach Mladen Dodic, solid Super league coach with some international experience, has prepared great his team for new season, and he showed to Partizan that they will not be easy rival for everyone. They managed to get 5 yellow cards in that game so that can be a sign that they play very aggressive football. Coach Dodic will probably start this game in 4-1-4-1 formation, a little defensive variation of their 4-2-3-1 formation. Main threat in Radnik’s side are two solid players for Super league football, young striker Zlatanovic, who scored against Partizan in first match and winger Kyeremeh who has stayed in Radnik even some Turkish clubs had interest on him. Also, their goalkeeper Vasiljevic (196cm tall) is one of the new stars in Serbian super league and I expect that he will be soon on radar of some bigger clubs. In this game, only winger Stankovic is unavailable for the game, he broke his leg in a friendly match before the start of the season and he will be out for a while.

The match will be played at Mladost stadium at Lucani, capacity 6000 places, which is in poor condition. Mladost don’t have strong fan base so I don’t expect good visit in this game. Last season, these teams played 3 times and in first match it was a draw (0:0), in second Mladost had one away win (4:3) while in third game Radnik has won (3:1). My opinion is that both teams will look for a win in this game and maybe we can expect more than 2 goals, due to the fact that in last 2 games of these teams the strikers was very motivated.
