Fiorentina and Cagliari announced that they will retire Form 13 after the tragic death of Davide Astori.

Sunday morning it was confirmed that the 31-year-old Viola captain died in his sleep and assassinations flooding the football world.

Clubs, colleagues, and a number of sports organizations are quickly moved to wish the Astori family and condolences to those who know it best.

Fiorentina and Cagliari – the two sides that the defender has represented differently throughout his career – now, as a sign of respect, he explained that Astori will not give team numbers to other players.

A statement from the Florence-based club said: “To honor the memory and to make Davide Astori’s memory, Cagliari and Fiorentina decided to withdraw the Together with the number 13.”
