Budućnost vs FK Sutjeska

The Montenegrin Derby is the main football match in Montenegro, between the teams from the two biggest Montenegrin cities. Rivals are FK Budućnost from Podgorica and FK Sutjeska from Nikšić, two most popular sports societies in Montenegro. It is match that means a lot, positive result in this game is always good sign of self confidence and form and teams not need coaches or fans to be motivated.

Budućnost didn’t win in league match from 20th October and that was on debut for new coach and former national manager of Montenegro Branko Brnović. That derby game against OFK Titograd is his only win in league and that is not good. They are in semifinals of Montenegrin cup but five points from Sutjeska and only win in derby is good result for team from Podgorica. There are lot of problems for Brnović, in last game on Saturday they scored first against Rudar through Bakić but after that didn’t closed the game in proper way. Great mistake by most experienced player goalkeeper Mijatović lead to equaliser for hosts and after that Rudar run riot on visiting goal and won game easily. Budućnost didn’t deserve any point from this game because players were lazy and passing game was non existent. Unofficially, Brnović told that if he stays in charge, he will make many changes in dressing room, so some players are complacent and don’t give everything for coach and club. He has problems also with injured and suspended players so Budućnost surely can’t start with best eleven. Another problem is that coach Brnović has pneumonia, he was left out of trainings in last few days so assistant coach Mrvaljević will be on the bench. They will be without injured Draško Božović and Balša Sekulić and first goalkeeper Mijatović will be replaced after huge error in Pljevlja.

On the other side, Sutjeska is playing best football of the season. They were dominant and in good shape vs Grbalj, scoring three times and missing few chances, they have four points more than Zeta and five more than Budućnost and Petrovac and with a win in derby they could be champions of first part of the season, that is great result after slow start. Best player in Sutjeska is Božo Marković right now, he scores with ease, from penalty spot or few meters, he is always in right spot in right time. Marković missed seven months because of ACL injury and in 338 minutes in 7 matches he scored 5 times and in cup competition also have similar impact on team. Sutjeska is full of confidence and if they achieve four points in last two games player will have extra payment from board. Coach Rakojević doesn’t have injured or suspended players on roster.
