Recap
After a terrible first game of new season and a lost to the Radnik, Partizan managed to break Dinamo Vranje’s defense in last game with late goal scored by Ozegovic. In that match Partizan has made plenty of goalscoring opportunities but their strikers didn’t have best day on the pitch. Some of Partizan fans were chanting against coach Djukic on that match, but the board gave him their full confidence. That can change quickly and Partizan will need a win in this match or they will go out for a title race. Partizan will play in this match in 4-2-3-1 formation. Coach Djukic will miss couple of players in this match because striker Nikolic, winger Tosic, and left back Sehovic are still injured. Partizan’s best players currently are midfielder Danilo Pantic, who is on loan from Chelsea ad striker Ricardo Gomes, who scored on his debut for Partizan.
On the opposite side, team Mladost has a good start of new season. In first round, they have managed to avoid defeat against Vojvodina while they have beaten Radnik In last round. Mladost is one very tough team with a bunch of players older than 30 years. Their coach, Nenad Milovanovic is their coach since 2014 and he has done very good job with very humble team like Mladost. This game is repetition of last season’s Serbian cup final, where Partizan has beaten Mladost 2:1. Mladost will probably play in this game in 4-2-3-1 formation that will transform into to 4-1-4-1 when they are defending. Center Back and one of the Mladost’s best players from last season, Ivan Milosevic has returned from his trial at France, and he will be big reinforcement in Mladost squad. Coach Milovanovic will have all players at his disposal for this match. Mladost will try to use fatigue of Partizan’s player due to the fact that they had midweek game in Lituania against Trakai (EL qualification).
The game will be played at stadium JNA, capacity 33000. The pitch is in great condition but the visit at Partizan games are declining due to the displeasure of Partizan’s fans due to the fact that Djukic is still their head coach. We can expect less than 3000 fans on this match and they will not be any Mladost’s fans due to their small fans base. Last season these teams played 3 matches and Partizan has won every time (3:0, 2:1, 2:1). I expect that this is going to be very tough game, Mladost will defend very close to their goal and it will be very difficult to Partizan’s squad to score because they are not in the best form lately.
