Before the start of the season, beside Backa, Zemun is one of the weakest teams in the super league by my opinion. In the first game in the season, they have managed to avoid defeat against Cukaricki thanks to their midfielder Veljko Simic but they had a lot of luck in that game. Zemun is currently under the suspension of the Serbian Football association and they can’t register any new player until they pay their former players. That’s a big loss for them because in their current team there is enough quality for this competition. Their biggest success is that they managed to keep their coach Milan Milanovic who has done great things with very modest team. He is using 4-2-3-1 formation or 4-4-1-1 depending of who is their rival in every match. Star players in Zemun’s squad are two midfielders, captain Lukovic and young Veljko Simic, former CZ and Basel player (didn’t play there so much).

Vojvodina is one of the teams who have changed a lot of players since last season. Their new coach, Aleksandar Veselinovic is former coach of Spartak Subotica and I think that he will make a solid team with these players in matter of time. He prefers to play in 4-2-3-1 formation and he is willing to play very attacking football and that’s why Vojvodina’s board chose him to be their new coach. Star players in Vojvodina’s team are their attacking players, Okehuie Eze and Fofana, and these two African players can provide a lot of goals for this team. Also Vojvodina have many young and talented players in their squad (defender Veselinovic, midfielders Zlicic and Mesarovic) and they will get their chance this season because coach Veselinovic is known for developing young players. Coach Veselinovic will only miss in this match defender Graovac who is still unfit.

This match will be played at City stadium at Zemun, capacity 10000 places, which is in poor condition. Zemun has good fans base and their stadium is known for noisy and faithful fans. We can expect also Vojvodina’s fans on this match so the stands will be almost completely full. Last season these team played twice, at Zemun’s stadium it was draw (0:0), while at Vojvodina’s stadium Zemun has won 3:0. I think that last season was one of the worst for Vojvodina and in new season I expect much better results from them, and I think that they have more quality then Zemun and that they will take an away win in this match.
